Active and comical, Blue Fronted Amazons are natural performers. They love to be around their owners and will "ham it up" for extra attention. Prolific talkers and singers, they vocalize often and can be very loud when they want to be. For this reason, they are not recommended for those who live in apartments or condominiums. Extraverts, sociable, love to show off.
A very commonly kept Amazon species, they are comical and entertaining, love to learn, and eagerly pick up tricks.
Independent yet easy going.  Can be protective of it's family, socialization is key.  Males may display territorial behavior during breeding season.
While in their cage, make sure they have plenty of toys to chew on, investigate, and climb and fly around. They're smart birds so puzzle toys are great to keep their curious minds busy. It's also important that they have an abundance of space to fly around. The larger the cage or aviary, the better.

DIET: Diet consists of a pelleted blend, veggies, fruits, nuts, and seeds as treats. A small amount of white meat, such as chicken is occasionally welcomed as well, as is completely cooked egg.
