Caiques

Sometimes called the "Clowns of the Parrot world", these loveable little birds known as Caiques (pronounced kye-eeks) are funny, outgoing, fearless, acrobatic, rambunctious and loveable.

There are two species of Caiques: the Black-headed Caique and the White-bellied Caique.  Both are equally striking with their colorful yellow, white, and green plumage. The only difference between the two is that the Black-headed Caique has a black beak whereas the Yellow-bellied Caique tends to sport a pink beak with a yellow/orange head.
Owning a Caique guarantees that there will be at least one "clown" in the family.  Caiques are considered to be very playful, always energetic, and quite enthusiastic.

DIET: Diet consists of a pelleted blend, veggies, fruits, nuts, and seeds as treats. A small amount of white meat, such as chicken is occasionally welcomed as well, as is completely cooked egg.
