Affectionate, intelligent, resourceful, and tactile. The Yellow Collar has gained a reputation as an escape artist and mischievous species. Will go to great lengths for attention, making it a wonderfully easy bird to train. Require a minimum of 2-4 hours out of their cage every day. Form strong bonds and may become one person birds if not actively socialized. May become a gifted talker, and tend to speak with more clarity than larger macaws.
DIET: Diet consists of a pelleted blend, veggies, fruits, nuts, and seeds as treats. A small amount of white meat, such as chicken is occasionally welcomed as well, as is completely cooked egg.
