Blue Crown Conure

Blue Crowns are known for being gentle, intelligent, and playful birds. They are very active, energetic birds, so plenty of mental stimulation and exercise is necessary to help prevent destructive behaviors.  Until the release of the movie "Paulie", which featured a Blue Crown Conure, this species was one of the best kept secrets in aviculture.

Gentle, beautiful, and intelligent, Blue Crown Conures now grace the homes of many a bird lover. They are very social birds, bonding strongly to their owners. They are also known to be gifted talkers, capable of learning several words and short phrases.

While Blue Crowns have a reputation for being one of the more quiet conure species, they do have the ability to scream and screech, and can be quite vocal upon waking and before bedtime. For this reason, most are not considered good birds for apartment living.

DIET: Diet consists of a pelleted blend, veggies, fruits, nuts, and seeds as treats. A small amount of white meat, such as chicken is occasionally welcomed as well, as is completely cooked egg.
